Where did you grow up?
I grew up just outside of Saint Paul, Minnesota. I moved to Omaha for my undergrad at Creighton and loved it so much I decided to stay for dental school. I met my husband while we were both in school and we’ve been here ever since!
Can you tell us a little about your family?
I am the oldest of four kids. I have two brothers that still live in Minnesota along with my parents and one brother that is currently finishing school at Creighton (Go Jays!). My husband’s side of the family is in Southwest Kansas near Dodge City. We love being perfectly in between everyone! We also welcomed our first little girl, Audrey, into our family in April – she’s a blast!
What do you love doing in your free time?
Spending time with my family and friends as well as yoga, running, and reading. My husband and I attend a lot of concerts and also have season tickets for Creighton basketball.
What are you most passionate about in your dental career?
Helping people to feel comfortable and confident in their smile, especially if they have had bad dental experiences in the past.
What are your most passionate about outside of work?
Definitely my family and finding ways to spend quality time together. We really love traveling to new places, especially to see new concert venues and shows.
What’s your go-to breakfast?
A denver omelet.
What inspired your path into dentistry?
I actually had a very early interest in dentistry (think a kindergartner with a dentist barbie) but didn’t decide on it for sure until college. I always knew I wanted to do something in healthcare though!
What inspired your path into dentistry?
I shadowed a pediatric dentist for several months after school as a teenager and loved it! I really like that dentistry is a good mix of science and art and I love being able to see people for a problem and fix it that same day. I planned on going into pediatric dentistry for a long time but loved so many different procedures in dental school that I decided to continue my career as a general dentist instead.
How do you hope patients and colleagues remember you?
As kind and empathetic.

Who’s the funniest person you know?
Dr. Logan Cowan, my roommate from dental school.
